I posted this before the forum was moved or whatever exactly happened. I'm posting it again...

I put up a new tune on my MySpace Music page. It's the one called "Wild Ride V2". This one has some  gnarly wah tones on it. I really dig it. I was having real fun with the Hungarian Minor Scale, Harmonic Minor Scale, Melodic Minor Scale, Lydian Mode, alternating fretted & open string notes, and the major thirds & minor 6ths on this one.   :o

For the curious, here's the three scales that I used on this tune:

1. One of the scales is what I call an "extended Lydian Mode" because it's not the typical four/five fret box scale - it takes ten frets to go from low to high. I've been using this scale for years. It's the one called "SCALE 1" on this PDF file: http://www.diyguitarist.com/MySpace/Scales/PJM-Scales1&2.pdf (I don't always do the slide part)

2. The second one is kind of an extended form of one of the Harmonic Minor Scale (7 frets) for the first octave and the second octave is the Melodic Minor Scale.

3. The third one is more or less the Hungarian Minor scale with a couple of notes left out (the #4th). Funny, I really like the sound of that one. Maybe it's because I have Hungarian blood in me? Both of my parents are Hungarian you know.

What's cool is that you can mix all three of them together and you get something that sounds like this tune. Cool, huh?  :icon_cool:

BTW, this wah pedal is still going on my 9V lithium "super battery" that I made almost a year ago. Not bad, huh?

Listen to "Wild Ride" on the music player at my MySpace page - www.myspace.com/j201jams - this is the tune I am talking about in my original post.
