Hi there,

Quotetried to look at the beginners project.. but I couldn't find the project.. is there a schematic, layout whatever page?

The beginner project has it's own forum, and the actual project is contained in several posts. Here is a link: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?board=6.0

Look for the topics that begin with a number, like 1:Tools, 2:The Schematic and Parts List.

You can buy a kit directly from the forum here. Link: http://diystompboxes.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=20&products_id=55

Yes, SmallBear stocks 3PDT footswitches. Link: http://www.smallbearelec.com/Categories.bok?category=Switches%2C+Relays

You can also buy them directly from the forum here, link: http://diystompboxes.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1

I have no clue about that circuit, but if the diodes are used for clipping and connected to ground, replacing them with a jumper would, in effect, short your signal straight to ground, creating a nice silence effect... but I doubt that is what you're going for. ;)

Good luck!

Mike
If you're not doing it for yourself, it's not DIY. ;)

that' s what happened when I took the advice of jumpering them.. silence.
checking out the other threads, etc.now..
thanks!

Just finished my minibooster and love it. One of the best additions to my pedalboard. Just need to finish up the  box now. I do suggest you leave out capacitor C6 right away. With it, my very hot single coils drove the thing straight into clipping even at low settings, only to be sort of remedied by putting the pedal on 18V. With C6 gone it works like a charm on 9V. So I imagine the same would go for high output P90s.

Someone's replied to you in the BBE Crusher thread that you posted in on another forum...
You were only supposed to remove the LEDs, not replace with jumpers.
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.

I tried jumpers and diodes.. but those were guesses by others.
in the end dumping the leds did a good bit of good.
I got a recommendation to try halving the gain pot value. so I'll give that a shot.
mouser is backordered so I'll probably grab some stuff here.. thanks for the info.
