Changing values in a Rangemaster circuit

What happens to the signal in a Rangemaster circuit when:

1. The value of the 3.9K resistor on the emitter of Q1 is raised (to, say, 4.7)?

2. The 10K Audio taper boost pot is changed to a pot of higher value (e.g., a 20K) or lower value (a 5K)?
