I have finished mxr distortion plus (http://www.tonepad.com/project.asp?id=2). I testet pcb with multimeter and everything is ok. it works, I have distortion but also I have beeee...eee.....eep noise. I didn't change any cap or res. I only used germanium diods. film caps (63V-100V. I didn't find lower V caps which I needed) did u know something about debugging of beeeee..eep noise?  ???

It sounds like power supply noise. Is it at 60 Hz or 120 Hz? What power supply are you using?

I tried with a battery too. the same thing.. maybe it can be a pot problem. it says rev-log pt but I am not sure about my pot I used. there is B500kohm on it..

If it says B500k then it'll be a linear pot, not reverse log.  Reverse log would say C500k.  Still, that shouldn't cause noise, it would just affect the way the sound changes when you change the pot position.

Is the noise there all the time?  Can you only hear it when the pedal is engaged or is it there when it is bypassed?

I don't hear noise when playing guitar. when I stop playin, I hear all the time. I can't switch to bypass beacause I don't use footswitch at the moment. I will use after it works perfectly  :-\ I think the problem is at caps. hrmm I really don't know..

Sounds like something is oscillating. You could have a solder bridge somewhere between the input and output, or something could be bridged around your opamp.

İ fixed the problem. I resoldered all the cables, output, input jacks vs. vs. and tried again and works perfectly. noo bee..p or another noise. it's very clean and has a hot overdirive tone. thanks for helps..  :D
