Anyone know what D5 is in this schematic? I thought I had bought all the parts to build one of these and this morning i noticed I totally missed that one.

It's a reverse polarity protection diode, typically a 1n4001 - 1n4007.

So I better pick one up, huh? Does it matter much which one I get?

It's a good idea to have in case you accidentally hook up a center-positive DC adapter instead of a center-negative DC adapter.

The only real difference is the voltage they can tolerate. Any of them will work fine for reverse polarity protection.

Well in that case I can just go ahead and build the pedal without it cause I don't have any DC jacks anyway.  :icon_lol: Good to know though since I plan to install one later on, thanks a bunch man!
