Hello.  Can anyone help with repairing a Dunlop Crybaby wah?  I appreciate that this is really a DIY stompbox forum, but I could sure use some advice.

My Dunlop Crybaby Wah (model GCB-95) has the DC jack mounted on the PCB.  And worse, it's a 3.5 mm (1/8") jack.  Is it possible to drop in a Boss style jack - onto the PCB?  What I'm asking here is, does such a part exist and would it be a direct replacement?

If not, can anyone suggest where to buy a replacement 3.5 mm PCB mount power jack.  I'd be happy to buy from diystompboxes.com, but I don't see such a part in the store.

Hope this post is in keeping with the rules of this forume.  Many thanks in advance for any suggestions!

1. Get/borrow a soldering iron + solder
2. http://www.smallbearelec.com/Categories.bok?category=Plugs,+Jacks+and+Fittings&searchpath=1409188&start=49&total=59

(possible this one: http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=576)

If you can't find it there, there's always mouser.com, but it can be a pain to find the exact piece you want. Small bear also has boss-style jacks, but keep in mind they have a square mount (i.e. if the hole in your enclosure is a circle, you'll need to cut it up a bit)

3. If you buy a PC-mount, remove the old PC-mount jack, insert the new one and solder. If you buy one that isnt PC mount, cut and strip some wires and solder the wires to the board

4. Wah Wah Wah Wah  :o

Many thanks for the suggestions, phector2004!

I'll give it a go.

Or you can just buy one of these and use it with your regular Boss-type adapter:

They cost less than $3, I've gotten them from Ebay sellers.  I use them with all my old MXR, Ross, Dunlop, and DOD pedals that have the 1/8" power jack.
