Sony TC-260 tape deck: Disassemble, or make into an amp?

Got one of these for free yesterday, and it needs some work--probably belts.  The takeup reel is too slow.

I'm sure it has lots of good pots, ge transistors, and "stuff" to scavenge, but it does work,
It's a 55 watt amp with a tonestack!

How can I just make it into a guitar amp?
I think you can just disconnect the leads to the tape head and put them into an input jack...

Nevermind--my 13 year old has figured it out (I guess I AM getting old) and it works fine.  Hours of fun, until they break it this summer!
