First question: How do I tell which tab is the tip ring or sleeve on the enclosed neutrik jacks from Pedal Parts Plus?

Second question: How do I figure out what the wires off of the the board of a pedal are? Like in, out, ground, etc.
Here are the specific boards that I'm curious about.

Thanks for the help, it's greatly appreciated.

The reason I ask these questions is I followed the layouts on each of these sites perfectly (as far as I could tell with quadruple checking everything) and they didn't work. So I'm going to try them with 3pdt switches instead of just dpdt, and use a different wiring setup.

Thanks again in advance for the help

Sleeve is the tag nearest the nut, tip is the one furthest from the nut, ring is the middle one. If you've got switched ones that have got 4 or 6 tags then plug a jack in and see which tags are touching the jack, they are the ones to use.

On the Fuzz Factory board the yellow wire to C2 is the input and the green wire from C4 is the output. The blue wire from the board is ground. If you followed that wiring example though it won't work because the output jack has no ground connection.

wouldn't it work, seeing how the input jack is grounded, assuming the case and jacks are metal?

Yeah you're right, it will work if you use metal jack sockets and a metal case, because the output jack is then grounded through the case, and to be fair to who ever wrote that site they do show metal sockets in the parts list. It won't work using plastic jack sockets like Elliot's got though.
