Soldering Iron tip

Hi,
I don't know if this has been brought up before, but a few weeks ago I picked up a box of Scotch-Brite Copper scouring pads on clearance at my local grocery.  They were $1.20 for two pads.  It cleans the soldering iron tip really nice.  I have been to cheap to try the fancy cleaner pads that come with newer irons and have always used a damp paper towel for cleaning the tip.
