So at some point over the last five years of moving around, I lost the 2-button footswitch that came with my Twin Reverb reissue, so now the reverb is always on, and the vibrato is always off.

So I figured it's about time to rectify the situation with a little DIY project, and as long as I was building it myself, I might as well get fancy and make it a 3-button box with an extra momentary switch for the vibrato.  I'm also planning to make the new box disconnectable by using a 1/4" TRS jack instead of having a flying lead like the original did.

Now, I haven't read a schematic since my college days, and I don't have the original to pull apart and inspect, so I figured I'd get a second opinion before I started anything... :icon_redface:

What I *think* will do what I'm trying to accomplish, connected to the amp by a TRS patch cable

Am I right in thinking that the original footswitch had the sleeve grounded to the enclosure?  If so, should I do the same with mine?

Also, does anyone have a suggestion for an enclosure?  I'm thinking a 1590BB would be okay if I put the two standard switches on the back corners, and the momentary one front and center.

Sleeve grounded good, yes  :o)  That's your shielding/grounding.  This probably controls relays, so no big deal, but grounded stuff is good 'just in case'.

1590BB is good too, if you have room for them.

Your schematic looks fine, as long as you've tested it and know that the momentary switch works (as far as normally open vs. normally closed). Also consider using dpdt switches and adding LEDs for the verb and vibrato.

Also the grounding doesnt matter much because its just relays, but you might as well.

Thanks for the help, guys!
