I finally got all the "right" stuff for my fuzz face, carbon comp resistors and axial caps.
But when i got the stuff (got it from Germany, i live in Denmark) and looking through the bag, i forgot the 20 uF axial electrolyt cap.
They don't have any 25v on Banzaimusic and can't find any on mouser (i read they had some Sprauge 25v's). Should i go with a 22 uF or two 10 uF ? It just don't look as good with to insted of one.

One thing to keep in mind is that capacitor values are really just a "best guess". When you consider that it's not uncommon for electrolytic caps to have tolerances of 20% or more you see that for all practical purposes 22uf is close enough.

Use either one. If the 22uf looks nicer on your board go for it; you likely won't hear the difference.

Values of that particular cap have varied, with some issues using as high as 33uf.  The cap provides an AC (audio) bypass around the resistance to ground, delivering greater gain for those frequencies within the passband.  The bass end of the passband is low enough that you would be unlikely to hear the difference between 20 and 22uf or even 33uf.  If it was a matter of 4u7 or 10uf vs 22uf, then perhaps your concern would be justified.  But given a) the wide tolerances of caps, and b) the width of the passband, you don't need to waste another moment's anxiety about it.  Solder it in place and rock out!

Thank you for your replys!
Exactly what i needed.
I love to learn.

...and if you're really worried, see if you can actually hear any difference between the 22 and the 2 x 10's

hey, try a 10 by itself or a 10 and 22...maybe you'll like it better. In the end, it's only your ear that counts.
