It is 500k, Can I not simply replace it with a 500K resistor? I want it to remain fully CW.

I found a 510K, close enough?

Any particular reason why you want to remove it?

In my multiFX board, I have a panel for the Phaser and UniVibe. Seen here (old picture):

Well, I took out the old MicroVibe and I am replacing it with a NeoVibe, so I need to free up an extra pot space for the volume control.

I always keep the depth maxed out anyway, so it seemed like the most logical solution.

Okay, makes more sense now.

Do you need the Neovibe volume control, or can you simply replace it with a trimpot?  Your needs may be different than mine, of course, but seems to me that I pretty much always expect my modulation pedals to be at equal/balanced effect/bypass volume, and always want to have some means of adjusting effect depth as I adjust modulation speed.  So t'wer I, I'd keep the phaser depth and lose the panel-mount Uni-Vibe volume,

Of course, YMMV.

That is a very good point, I actually had not thought about this. As I have not owned a univibe that had a volume control, I was not sure if it was a gain or a Effect Mix control.

If it were a gain control, then yes I would certainly leave it a unity and leave the phaser depth pot there (would be easier anyway!)

Thanks!!!

I think I may also include a mod on the univibe to select Fast or Slow, keeping the slow at my favorite Floyd setting with an internal trimpot and being able to switch to the external knob for fast or different settings. I ordered a 4PDT toggle to do the switching, should work, eh?
