Aluminium enclosures - radiator paint?

Anybody tried this? I got some Humbrol "Just Rads" radiator spray paint in Ivory a while ago. It's supposed to be hard-wearing and pretty quick drying, so a thought occured to me to use it on a pedal, but I've no idea what's in it: There's no indication on the can, and I can't find it listed even at Humbrol.com. Any idea what kind of paint it is?

I was planning to do a couple of coats of Radiator, then acrylic clear lacquer it, bung on a transparency then a couple more clearcoats. I'm going to try it out on the base/lid regardless, but am I likely to be heading for disaster?

In the UK you have to be a CORGI registered plumber to put radiator paint on nowadays.  Bad for DIY all this regulation.

Seriously though (:-) I think (not 100% sure but seem to remember) radiator enamel is supposed to be baked so I'm guessing you will have to use appropriate primer before application and then bake at say 70C for a few hours (while running hot water through the enclosure).

Plus it's fairly tough I've never clear coated a radiator before.

If it's like an appliance enamel when it's done, I would think you'd want to drill all holes before spraying the stuff on (to prevent chipping).
