I'm wanting to make a Rambler octave fuzz. I have some JRC 4558D so... Would a JRC 4558D work instead of the JRC 386D?

Cheers Ross

The 386 isn't an op-amp, it's a low-voltage power amplifier. Try the LM386 if you can't get hold of the JRC version.

Any time you want to check a part substitution, Google for the datasheets and see if the pinouts are the same.
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.
