hey,
ive been given a home made treble and bass booster by a guy who used to do repairs for music shops.
im too dim to do a schemo  [+ its stuffed into to tiny box ] but i wanted to list some of the main components here to see if any of you have ever seen such a pedal circuit ? ive tried online searches but not got any joy.
its quite low gain but is really nice thru a normal channel ac30 as it just gives a wee bit of brightness to combat the mud. it also has a switch for a bass boost too but thats too much for the old speakers so i leave that off..
it has 3 tiny toggles for on  / off , treble boost on or off and bass boost on or off. there are no pots or other controls
the main components i could see are

two BC109 trannies
three 1uf tantalum caps
one 47 uf electro
one 0.47 poly cap
one 2.2uf electro

any ideas ?
thanks bob

Yupp, determine how many gain stages. Could be 1 or 2, maybe a buffer for 1 of the stages ?
Emitter follower will have strong signal on the emitter, Gain stage will have a bias resistor and signal stronger out of the collector.
Since the cap values don't look typically like HP filter values and 'brightens' is part of the description, an emitter follower doesn't sound like it's out of the question...2 gain stages @ 9v 'could' bump signal into a rail or near it [be made to distort].
