Starting to collect parts for a Maestro Ring Mod build and was having a little confusion around the Dual-Gang Pot.
First I haven't been able to find a 150k Dual-Gang Audio Taper Pot as listed in the BOM: Topopiccione, GGG

Then looking at the schematics, I see that it is labeled as a 50k Dual-Gang Pot (can't find this one anywhere either...)
Schem 1 (schem on page 3)
Schem 2
Schem 3
The Pot in question is labeled Pitch in the lower left corner of the schematic

Another peculiar thing is on the first Schem link it has a BOM on page 1 that says 150k dual audio but then on the schems on page 3&4 it shows a 50k pot...

So I guess the question(s) is/are
A: which is the correct pot value?
B: do you know where to get a 150k or 50k Dual-Gang Audio Pot?
C: should I just get the 100k Dual-Gang Audio Pot from smallbear?
     1. and use it instead?
     2. or switch out the wafers for 150k or 50k wafers?

I do believe there are the correct value slider pots on Mouser but I would rather have a Rotary pot

Thanks much,
Jon

It's supposed to be 150k, I've used 100k "c" taper dual and it works fine.
It'd the same pot used in the Univibe/neovibe

Okay cool. But it is not the reverse taper that's used in the Univibe is it?

John Lyons

Yes, same pot as in the univibe.
You can use a Linear pot but the
high end of the sweep is jammed
up in the end of the rotation.

Cool, will do.

So how much range is lost without that extra 50k of sweep?
I was thinking of making an expression pedal with the proper value pot in it but then still would need to find a 150k dual-gang pot....

John Lyons

I've never seen a 150k pot let alone a dual 150k.
You could make a 150ksih dual from a 250k linear pot and a
resistor across the outer lugs...reverse audio in fact!

Is it just the resistance in parallel formula?

I've tried to comprehend the formula RG used in Secret Life of Pots but apparently my brain doesn't want to work right now...

Thanks!
