Fancy Fuzzbox (1972) - did anybody get it to fire up?

I actually tried the pull-up (as I wrote earlier in this thread), but that was most likely when I was using the bad clip lead. I honestly can't
remember if I also tried it after I found the dud lead.  

The reason I was going to try a silicon tran is to experiment with higher gains since my highest germ hfe is around 200-250.
With germs I could not bias this thing to get any good sustain or unique fuzz. Btw, the voltage reading on Q2 collector was
around  -.6 - to -.8 when the sound was the best...as expected.

If anyone gets anything good & reports back, I'd breadboard it a third time. To answer Earthscum about battery life. One of my favorite
fuzzes, the Sunn Buzz lasts forever on dead AA's. I just measured the battery & it's at 1.24 and still sounds good.

0.75v/10k=0.075ma, that's a small current even for just one AA so it will last a lot.

IMHO the only reason to use a silicon here is more predictable bias.
