Opinions on Blue Magic Od and what was it originally named after?

I've been wanting to try one of these for a while. Just looks like a good circuit. Anyone build one? Thoughts? What's it sound like? Also, I read on GGG that they had to change the original name or something. Is it a copy of another pedal?

The Blue Magic is really good. I believe I played the original and I loved it!

I built one, and I no longer have it. It was alright, but not what I was looking for. I would say that it's a lot in sound like the LTD Silver you can find around here somewhere, but I liked the LTD better. I have no idea what the original name was.

The Blue Magic I played was smooth - like a really good tube screamer but better. I liked it for that semi-clean edge of breakup sound that I like.
