Bead caps to spice up LEDS

In the spirit of DIY, I thought I'd share something I use to spice up LED's.

Rather that just sticking the LED through a hole in the box or using a grommet or LED holder, I've used metal bead caps [glued on]
or other miscellaneous types of beads to put the LED through.

This came to mind now because of a weird coincidence. I was searching for some BC108's for a friend and this
eBay listing came up:

Imagine those silver caps [weird that "caps" was used in the auction also] around your LED on a black or silver box.
You may have to enlarge the hole a little. I use 3mm LEDs for most, but you can probably find beads/caps suitable for 5mm's.
