HELP with MATSUMIN VALVE CASTER and AMZ Booster

I built a Matsumin Valve Caster...I have these problems:

1. The tone control is inverted...turn it up and you get more bass.
2. The gain pot is completely scratchy wherever I turn it and no matter how clean my work is.

I also built an AMZ booster from tonepad.com and I have this problem:

1. There is a very loud popping sound when I engage the pedal, but no popping sound when I turn it off

Other problems: what is the solution when the pedal works with a psu but doesnt work on the 9volt battery?  I built a DOD 250 clone from tonepad but the battery clip doesnt work. I already tried replacing and re-soldering the clip.

Please help me....I use my pedals when I play on stage.  Thanks so much!

The tone pot should be an easy fix. However you've got it wired now just reverse the connections to the outer lugs.
I think the gain pot scratching is normal for this pedal.

For the popping pedal do a search on the forum for popping and you should get loads of good advice
