Adding LFOs/LEDs/LDRs to blend pot-style designs?

I am working on adding an LFO to this vocal filter fuzz.

As you can see in the schem below, it's just two wah filters tuned to different frequencies which are set up with a control inverted to eachother.

I am working on an LFO with inverted and normal outputs to LEDs all built into the same 4069 chip so that it can be a one chip design, but need then to put LDRs in place of the pot.

Replacing the pot with two LDRs is not a big deal, but what I am thinking about is how to have some control to tune the type of sound you get out of it - sort of a depth or frequency control.

I have three ideas for this:
1. Just have depth controls (voltage divider style volume controls) for the LEDs coming off the LFO.
2. Have pots or one pot in series with the LDRs.
3. Have a single pot in parallel with the LDRs, basically just adding the LDRs across the two sides of the pot as it is implemented in the schem.

Any ideas?

Are there any other designs already existing requiring a similar type of setup?

Oh how about that, you don't even really need to build an LFO with inverting output...

But the LFO was not exactly the issue. I guess I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for different schemes to have flexible depth or frequency settings to get more than one sound out of it. His scheme is I guess the same as #3 on my list (LDRs in parallel with pot).

I'll be bread-boarding it up soon and trying some things out, but I guess just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas or input into the idea...
