sweeeet! i've actually built quite a few pedals but was always intimidated by trying to create my own layouts. i'm pretty excited.

I've just finished work on a circuit and now need to do a layout for it. Layouts can be a bit of work.  It's like putting together a puzzle for the first time where you have all the pieces, a limited space to put them in, and no picture of the finished product to help you know where to fit the pieces in the space given.

i really enjoy word games, sudoku, chess, etc...so although there can be a lot of work involved i think i'd be stoked to get it right in the end. i can only imagine how frustrating designing a layout for a complex circuit could be though. i'm gonna keep practicing on small stuff like boosters and fuzzes until i can make my way to certain pedals that i could never find layouts for. any tips? things to keep in mind while making layouts?

looks good!

a couple of things to keep in mind when doing layouts (although it looks like you've already got it covered) is to keep the 9v and ground, and input and output on opposite sides of the board. Other than that, for me it's just a matter of starting at the beginning and then shuffling things around until i can get the most compact layout i can.
happy building!
