Adding a Depth/Resonance Control to Overdrive Pedal

Anybody ever tried adding a depth/resonance control to an overdrive pedal?

Like the same control that is used on the 5150s/6505s that uses the negative feedback loop from the power section and feeds back into the Phase inverter. Its a control for the lower frequencies in the power section.

Given that an overdrive pedal tends not to have a phase inverter or power amp, I turn down the treble and boost the volume if I want more dominant lows.
