Hello,

I modded a Dunlop GCB-95 after reading some tips on the forum (cap switch, q resistor etc.)
My problem is this:
My GCB-95 Crybaby has a weak, almost muted sound (I've tried battery and 9V power supply). Also, the taper is strange: Almost no volume in heel position and only when the  pedal is pushed down almost to the toe position does the sound suddenly do a quick transition from bass to treble.
I don't know what's wrong?

Had a chance to A/B my pedal with another crybaby:
My pedal is definitely weak sounding with an obvious treble loss. It seems the "quack " of my pedal is gone and the wah is weak.

I reversed the mods - no change.

I'm starting to suspect it's the inductor but I'd rather have your opinions/experience because it's either a new inductor or a new wah (and I've got a gig coming up)

The treddle might have gotten un-hinged,which would cause it to be stuck in one position.

If it was a bad inductor, then it would just pass a signal with maybe a very slight volume pedal type of effect. I would look for a cold solder joint or a damaged track on the PCB.
