I just ordered a foot switch  for my dime bag crybaby from hell. The old one had two connectors( i don't know what you call them they look like the things u wire pots to) they are a a piece of metal sticking up with a hole in it. Anyways the footswitch I bought has 6 of those things. Inside the pedal the two connectors were soldered to a chip that had 6 holes in it. So I soldered all 6 connectors to the new foot switch and the pedal doesnt work. Do I need to flip the switch around? Let me know If I should post pictures. The switch I purchased is a Carling 316-B-PP. Thank You!

You have a DPDT switch, it is the right kind of switch to do a true Bypass mod to a wah.

However, it seems like you didn't really know what you're doing in there. Did you get a good schematic or set of instructions to do the mod, or did you just try to go for it? Try and post some pictures of the pedal as it was, the pedal as it is now, and give us a link to any instructions you used and we'll help you figure out what's going on...
