Hi Joe,

Sorry : what do you mean here by "So I had it backwards ?" ?

(Sometimes current language subtilities do not match my "academic foreign" english...)

A+!

That means that I thought the opposite ("backwards") of what it really is. Anyway, I thought an ICAR taper made the wah transition more abrupt, but does it actually make it less abrupt and "widen" the "mid" section of the sweep?

OK Joe,

I have some ICAR pots (brand new RI) and I didn't find the time to measure or test them yet, unfortunately...

I think - but I may be wrong - that the ICAR taper gives a more "vocal" wah effect.

I am sure - because I experimented it - that a smoother bass to treble is a key to a more "vocal" wah effect.

For example, I could achieve a satisfactory "vocal" wah effect with a modified DIY SolaSound-clone circuit and an old NOS Allen Bradley 60K4 LOG pot put in a CryBaby used casing  :

A+!

I apologize for my approximative english writing and understanding !
