Just built a Ruby amp (for some reason running it off battery give see just a ugly solid tone, but using a filtered PSU it works fine?).

Anyway I digress.

I would like to build a audio probe into the enclosure too, and was wondering how best to do this?

My first thought is a dpdt switch that would switch between the 1/4" input jack and the probe attached .1uf+ Capacitor & ground crocodile clip.

so with the flick of the switch it would change its input source, and change from a amp to a probe, a little like a A/B switch.

But Im not sure how to wire the DPDT to do that. Could someone point me in the right direction and explain the hook up if im looking at the switch with the pins being

1 2
3 4
5 6

Any help would really be appreciated  :-*

Hi

this should work, with LEDs showing what's active, just connect all Gounds together and for the LEDs : +V->resistor->LED+

Probe -            1 2 - Red LED neg
Ruby board in - 3 4 - Ground
Jack in -           5 6 - Green LED neg

Cheers
