Anyone using an Alps (or another printer that can print opaque ink?)

I'm looking for an opaque ink option to print on clear decals.
EDIT: White or anything other than black.

I have one that hasn't been plugged in since 99. I used it to make some decals with gold in them, like say, a Fender headstock decal. It worked perfectly, but now I don't even know if it would work with my Mac...
