Hey all,

been a lurker around here for awhile reading what i can. finally decided to join because i need your help.  i am going crazy trying to solve a problem with my wooly mammoth build. i built it with the fuzzy elephant vero layout, have looked at it up and down, left and right and everything seems correct. HOWEVER, the eq knob doesnt work properly, instead of adjusting the tone of the effect it cuts the volume (the more you turn the pot up the more quiet the effect becomes until final no sound).

any help would be much appreciated....even ideas.

thanks much!

hahah, i just did  ;)....

ill go back to the studio tomorrow and take some measurements.

i just thought someone might have an idea that i could check quick.

here is the layout i used:

the only values i changed from the layout are 22k instead of the 20k and a 4.7k instead of the 4.99k resistors.

if you need measurements i will try to get them tomorrow.

Check to see if any of the wires on the eq pot are making contact to ground. In my limited experience with vero, it's very prone to solder bridges. Not to mention the layouts can get confusing..
