need a lil help, just put together a Neutrino board from madbean and I didnt wire the diodes in series....instead I put a single diode in D1 and D3 instead of the 2 in each...

basically how will the sound be affected comparing a single diodes to 2 diodes in series?... more distortion?

thanks

ah I jsut got an email from Brain saying that it will produced more drive than compared to the reg setup of 2 diodes in series......... how do yall think this will sound in the Eternity circuit? yeah I know try it out, but I like to wire everything inside the box instead of wiring then putting it in.
put it together, now take it apart

Should be--by excluding the series diode on each side, you're lowering the total forward voltage, so they should clip more.

Can I still get the original sound of the eternity by simply turning the gain down? or am I going in a totally different direction. I like the eternities but more gain would be nice.

I'm not sure offhand--I just built one recently, but I did some tweaking with the gain pot to actually REDUCE the available gain (I'm using mine more as a booster).
