1 battery 2 boards?

I would like to put my green ringer and my blue clipper in one enclosure and was wondering about powering them. Could i power both with 1 battery and have enough power to run them? what about battery life? Could i make the circuit to turn 9v in 18v and get it to run?

One battery would be fine for both boards. Battery life should be fine. Why would you want to run them at 18V?

 They're both NPN/Neg Ground, ok.
  Always check for shorted power supply before applying power, after doing anything, especially power supply work.

At one time I had an LPB and Screaming bird in one enclosure and it worked fine from a single power supply.
