Momentary footswitch and LED question

Hello everyone. I'm posting this question around as many places as I know, so apologies if you already read this elsewhere. Does anyone know of a way of using a momentary switch to switch on an LED? I want to make a footswitch to control the graphic and preshape on my ancient Trace Elliot, which basically needs momentary switches to toggle each function in and out. I need the LED top stay on when the effect is switched on. Latching switches work only partially (1 click to switch on and then a double click to switch off again), so as far as I can tell, it's impossible to get an LED to work with this set up without relays or whatnot...
