I just finished building a pedal and it works but... When I close the case it stops working. I noticed the input output jacks are touching the back of the case is whats causing the problem. Can you give me some suggestions. Thanks

Do you mean the tips? You can always rotate them if that's the case...

try some foam sticky tape or electrical tape
When your life is over, will any of this STUFF really matter?

I mean the solder lugs of the jacks. I tried rotating but, there isnt enough space.

Should I put foam/ electrical tape on the back of the case where it touches the lugs or,  cover the solder lugs themselves with tape?

What I did on one build was bend the solder lugs so they're "tucked" into the jack. What kind of jacks are you using? Switchcraft? It might be possible on others, but its definitely doable on switchcraft-types.

A "blocker" would also work. I would not recommend cardboard! Foam tape will work fine if you cover the flat surface they contact.

Yes, they're switchcraft. Hey, it looks like "tucking" them in should work. Good idea, thanks.
This is a GGG kit. Nothing wrong with the jacks, actually it looks like its the placement of the holes. I think they're drilled too close to the bottom of the case, if that makes sense:) Anyway no big deal, tucking them in will solve the problem.

thanks again

Electrical tape may work today, but will pinch-through by next summer.

Cardboard will work a couple years, if it stays in place, then wear-through.

Heavy landry-soap jug plastic, IF it will stay in place, will last a long time.

Yes, in this case, the answer is to bend those lugs inward, though not so they touch/block the plug.
