HELP needed. Hao Rust Driver clone wiring question

Hi everyone! Im new here, and asking help. Im building my first stompbox and im stuck with some general wiring issues. now i have everything the same as in picture, i guess i've confused some wires.... it works on the bypass, but if you turn it on there'is only some cracks. and volume pot works. Thank you, sorry for the stupid questions!

well hopefully you've socketed your IC as you've connected +9v to the wrong place.
+9v goes to the square pad directly next to where you're showing you're connected right now.

I'd start there.
