Current Neovibe Parts List

As others have noted, the Mouser parts list for the Neovibe downloadable off the GGG website has a lot of obsolete parts numbers, particularly for the capacitors. For parts substitutions, what are the most important attributes? Obviously the capacitance and type (poly film vs. electrolytic, for instance) has to match, but how important is the voltage and tolerance? Is substituting a higher voltage rating OK (200v instead of 100 volt for example)? I am finding that a lot of the obsolete caps are 10% tolerance, while similar caps suggested by Mouser have a lower tolerance (5% or 3% for instance). The higher tolerance caps are slightly more expensive, but the rest of the specs seem to match.
Has anyone tried an updated parts list for the Neovibe through Mouser, Small bear, or other supplier?

In general, you can use a capacitor with a higher voltage rating to replace one with a lower voltage rating but it may be mechanically larger than the original.  The higher voltage rating will improve reliability.

You can use a tighter tolerance (e.g. 5% to replace a 10%) capacitor, but you can expect to pay more.

I tried updating that parts list several times. In the almost 20 years since I did the first Neovibe layout, Mouser has changed its suppliers several times. I had to spend my time doing other things than always checking stock, especially since people complained that I only did part numbers for Mouser, not their chosen parts supplier.

Amptramp has the dictum correct - get as close to the tolerance as you can, more voltage is always OK, and READ THE PHYSICAL SIZE AND LEAD SPACING INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY. Otherwise you'll wind up with capacitors too big to fit on the PCB. It's not all that hard, just use a ruler or something, estimate the biggest size you can get in there, and read the sizes in the catalog.

Besides - after your first couple of effects, it's time you learned to think about what part fits without someone picking them out for you. It's a good skill to have.

Please let newcomers and beginners know as appropriate: I have spreadsheet parts lists for numerous popular DIY builds, and I will e-mail them on request. Some are better and more current than others; as R. G. notes, it is hard to keep these accurate given the constant changes in distributor stock and availability. Nonetheless, the one for the Neovibe is pretty good. As I get opportunity, I have been adding SKU numbers to the descriptions of the parts, and that has been done for the Neo.

Thanks for responding to my post, I have e-mailed you a request for an updated parts list. Do you mind if I post it on this forum? I understand the parts availability changes all the time, but it might help any current or recent Neovibe builders. The simple covenience of having an updated list would cause me to buy the parts from Smallbear instead of Mouser or some other supplier.

Some of the small caps are no longer available in Panasonic, but I have been slowly making the transistion from the discontinued ECQ-B series to comparable parts from other sources.

Thanks smallbear. I checked through the list at the Smallbear site, everything available except the (16) Electrolytic Radial 50v 1mf Capacitors, SKU #1404, out of stock. Any way to track when these will be back in stock? Is there a substitute I could use? Hate to get whacked on postage twice for these. Maybe I can get them at RS.
