Hi,
GT-OD has the same resistor values. Capacitors are unnamed. Probably op-amp is different also.

"Ground Up" my A$$....

I bought the pedal, opened it up, and guess what was printed on the circuit board?

"ZW-44"

MikeH, your intuitions are right, although the DistIII does at least have its own circuit board design.

And the "Classic Distortion" that sold for cheap at GC is reportedly a Distortion III with different graphics!  I haven't opened mine up to see what the board says, but I bet it's the same one as used for the DIII.

I think the only difference between the Zakk OD and GT-OD is the 10k resistor between C7 and R5/C4/neg input of 2nd OPAmp. I tried it and it makes the sound more bass/mid and gain/volume.Makes the Zakk OD thinner compared to with 10k resistor added.

Similarly, the switch can be mounted in MXR Distortion III. It works great. Much more headroom, bass, mids & volume. It should work great in every overdrive/distortion with TS tonestack. Many thanks for the info, I never knew where that pesky 10k goes.

That's great it also applies to MXR Dist III.That 10k resistor is a big question for me until i opened my ZW44 and studied where that 10k goes from C7.I almost ripped my pot legs from bending it over and over to look for that R17 connection. At least i finally found it.Really big difference in sound.
