Hi, I'm a newbie here and this is my first pedal build. I have a question about the ggg osq kit. The kit comes with 2 trim pots, one for effect level and one for volume. If I want to use the external pot for volume, do I solder the volume trim pot to the board as well, or do I leave it off? It is my understanding that the original os used the trim pot instead of an external volume pot, and I'm thinking that the second trim pot might be for that configuration only. The instructions are unclear on this. Thanks for any help you can give.

If using the external volume pot you leave the volume trimmer off the board and wire the board up as per http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_osq_lo_pot.pdf

Thanks,

I'm really new to diy electronics and was in need of some basic help. Good to know these forums are around. BTW, I finished the build, and it works!!! I think I'm hooked, where's that soldering iron....
