Little help with Danelectro Cool Cat Vibe?

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my Cool Cat Vibe from Dano. I had done the mods described here:http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=70874.20 some time ago and hadnt had an issue with anything until the other day. Went to kick on the vibe, and nothing. Volume drop a little, but beyond that, no effect. I assumed it was a poor joint on my part finally going bad so I opened it back up. There was a very loose wire running to the switch, so I fixed that, and the signal now passes through normally, but still no vibe. Curious, so I start playing with the pots, and it turns out the effect is on, its just not vibing. If I roll the intensity pot while playing, the effect works as it should (kind of like a manual speed if that makes sense). So basically, I'm assuming theres an issue with the speed pot. The light under the metal casing with the light sensors is on, and intensity works to dim/brighten it, but it doesnt come in and out as it should. Just stays solid.

I've tested out all three pots and they are functional, but beyond that I'm not sure where to start. I've got my meter ready and my iron hot. If anyone out there would be willing to send some advice my way I'd really appreciate it!
