question about building a loop pedal

first let's clear up any confusion. doing quick google searches on this topic can be quite frustrating when we have A) Loopers that record and playback audio, B) Loopers that feedback the input signal, and C) Loopers that create an effects loop.

C) is what i'm interested in here. Specifically, what i want to do is build an effects loop pedal with 2 stomp switches; 1 to switch between signal chain A and B, and 1 to switch A and B ON simultaneously. LEDs are essential..  i don't think i'm simply referring to a simple ABY box here. or maybe i am. is this possible? can someone provide me with a diagram of what this would look like?
much appreciated.

The low-tech way to do this is to use two 3PDT switches to each select a single loop (or bypass it), and situate the switches such that you can hit both of them at once with your foot.  Apart from the technical simplicity, one of the other things that gives you is an A or B function, in addition to A alone, B alone, and A+B.  That is if A is set to on, and B set to off, then stepping on both switches "flips" their states.

thanks the low-tech version is somewhat appealing in its simplicity, but is there another way? one with a tad bit more finesse?

Are both A and B coming back to this pedal and then going on to some single destination (a dual fx loop), or are they just each going off to seperate destinations (an A/B/Y)?

If it's the dual FX loop, will A and B be in series (A>B) or in parallel?  I think there could be issues in parallel, as the low-Z return fom one loop will load down the low-Z out of whatever's in the other loop.  Tone loss, volume loss, and/or unpredictable interactivity could result.

single destination is correct.

i want to have dirt in one signal chain and modulation in the other signal chain going out to a single amplifier. i want to be able to use either 1 or both signal chains.

another option with the pedal i describe is running my (soon to arrive) EHX POG > EHX Freeze in one signal chain and be able to stomp a switch to add the clean guitar signal chain along with it.
