Toner will not come off after using transfer paper

Hi, I've had hit and miss results with toner transfer method. So I got some toner transfer paper that once heated and placed in water transfers all the toner on to the copper board. The problem is that the acetone based nail varnish remover I normally use will not shift it. Is pure acetone much stronger or would heating it help? At the moment I'm leaving it to soak but it quite well stuck.

Pure Acetone will melt it off in a couple of swipes.

I've had good luck with brake parts cleaning spray too.  That would be the stuff from the auto parts store.

Couple of blasts and it all washes away.  Very low residue due to the intended application.

I had a similar problem. For me all it took was the green side of scotch brite or similar sponges (I think thats what they are called) under hot water with a lot of pressure in small circles. Worked better than nail polish remover in my case.

Thanks its quite hard to find pure acetone in stores, illl have to get some online i think. There are some nail polish removers that say pure acetone 95.5% i might try one of those before ordering anything.

i use nail polish remover pads....i nick em off my missus....

they work fine..

she did have some remover in a bottle though...and it was useless....

Well the cheap bottle I had was ok when the toner was just a thin layer but with the transfer paper it's much thicker. I've just got some pure acetone from boots chemist I'll see if that shifts it when I get home.

£1.50 for a little tiny bottle but it took the toner off with 2 wipes 

At least i have a easy place to get it now. thanks again for your input guys
