Do these need biasing?

I was at GC the other day and bought a used MXR Dynacomp.It was $39 and brand new,so i said what the heck. I was looking at this page; http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/ross.php  If you scroll down a little they talk about switching the tranny's to 2N5088's.Do these need to be "biased" after put into the circuit,or do i put just them in and play?
