Ohh Yeah, I didn't see that sneaky resistor, possibly LED related though rather than an offboard component.

"Server not" found (for me)

It looks like a modified Electra, for sure. 47k collector, 2.2M feedback instead of 2.3M, 560R emitter resistor instead of 470 (that would take gain down a bit, maybe compensating for the small drop in the feedback resistor).

What's the transistor? That may be the magic sound maker. Also, what diodes are those? I tried Schottky 5818's in one and it sounded pretty wonderful. Those are the 2 components that I've found make this circuit sweet or bitter.

I don't see what you mean... he just linked to the electra... a very popular circuit, where's the coincidence?

And this is just a modded electra with 1N400X Clipping Diodes and the values stated, nothing special, it's the circuit it is, i'm sure it sounds nice enough.
