Has anyone tried GerbMerge:

I love the idea of being able to prototype a bunch of designs at once, but I've never touched Python and I really don't want to learn another new language just for this.

Maybe there is some intrepid programmer out there who can make a simple graphic interface to merge Eagle file layouts?  I'd gladly pay $100 to get that kind of a program since it would pay for itself in no time at all.

Is there a reason that it's not possible to import multiple boards into an Eagle file? (Sincere question.)

I haven't tried it, but in my CAD of choice (Osmond), I'm sure I can copy and paste multiple boards into one file, then draw a perimeter line around them all in the silk layer, with slots around each individual design to make them easy to break off.

I haven't used Eagle much but I imagine this should be possible there as well, no?

You will need the "real" version of Eagle to do this.  The Lite version won't let me.

That's what I have been trying to avoid.  I guess I will have to give in!

Any idea whether you can use the Standard version or you have to use the Pro?
