Referring to this schematic/layout:

I was looking over the layout and bouncing it off of the schematic and something does not look right.   :icon_eek:

The SPEED pot. According to the schematic, the wiper lug (2) should be connected to the same lug that is connected to the R23/C5 junction... RIGHT??

According to the layout, they have the wiper wired to R19, and Lug 3 wired to the R23/C5 junction. That looks wrong to me  ???

Shouldn't the SPEED pot be wired with Lugs 1 & 2 wired to the R23/C5 junction and Lug 3 wired to R19?

Could someone verify my thinking please?

Yup. They're reversed & lugs 1 & 2 should be connected.  I thought something was fishy there but didn't dig into it.  Good eye!  ;D

It looks that way to me but, I want someone who can decifer the circuit to give me that 100% FOR SURE answer.

It looks to me like the wires need to be swapped, and then Lugs 1 & 2 need to be tied together.

just a quick look at the schematic and the layout shows that in the schematic lugs 1 and 2 are tied together but in the layout lug 1 is left floating, it should make no difference what way its done, same result. As i say though I only had a glance.

I built the circuit. I wired the Speed pot the way I thought it should be (NOT LIKE THE LAYOUT) and it works like a champ!

I wired it as described above.
