Considering this:  "The RATE pot should be ideally rev-log or "C" taper as indicated in the schematic, however, it is possible to use a normal log or "A" taper pot instead by swapping lugs 3 and 1. In this case the rotation of the pot will be reversed, but the "feel" will still be adequate. It is not recommended to use a linear or "B" taper pot, as the fast rates will be bunched up in one extreme."

Would the Dunlop 470K HotPotz II suffice as a good Rate pot?  Before you answer, it's an audio taper.  The Tri-Vibe schem has a C taper.  Also the schem has a 820K (!) resistor across the wiper and lug 3.  I want to put this in a wah shell and control the rate that way.  Seems like it would be fun, but not if it's slow toe-down and fast heel-down.  Any suggestions?  If not this, then any recommendations?  (I guess if worse came to worse I could get a pinion gear from Smallbear and fashion one, I just want a robust pot.)

Next:  What's a good way to strip the black off an old crybaby wah?  Just wipe on some good ole' paint stripper?  (Calling John Lyons...)

Last:  Anyone had good luck using TL072's all the way around for the OpAmps, or should I stick with the NE5532 and TL062s?  (I seem to recall someone saying a NE5532 is imperative.)
