Tonepad pulsar tremolo help

I built a pulsar tremolo yesterday but could not hear any tremolo sound while i opened it. I checked everything and found they're all fine. Was it possible that i replace 2n5088 with 2n9014?I also tested another transistors like j201 and msk30 and did not hear any tremolo sound. so my question is what's wrong with my tremolo?

I found that i could work even i get rid of all the transistors but also no tremolo sound

What to do if it doesn't work

My pulsar wasn't working until I changed the orientation of the transistors.
Be sure to check the datasheet of your transistors to see if the transistor pinout of the layout matches.
