Guys can you help me with picking a low noise darlington? I used 2N5306 (Small Bear) in my clone, which sounds great to my ears, but a friend of mine, who made a clone for his studio thinks they are a bit too noisy. Can i simply substitute the darlingtons with something like BC550C (2N5088, ...)?
