fs-6 for rc-2

Some one has contacted me to build a two button switch box like the fs-6 to control their boss rc-2. This is how they want it to work-
'' One button is a stop/start for the loop itself. - (this works with a single tap. this makes it much easier to stop the loop by not having to go back to the RC-2 unit and tap it twice)
The second button actually switches you to the next loop patch so you can switch between loops and stop/start them completely on the fly.''

I don't have access to either pedal to test it. First off is the fs-6 pretty straight forward? Can I accomplish this pretty much just jack to switches? And I can do any testing so I'm not sure on the types of switches. I've gathered that it's a stereo jack and I'm guessing the first switch (to stop and start) is the tip and a momentary. I'm just not sure if the sleeve jack (to control the loops) is in fact the sleeve and whether it's momentary or latching and which way you wire the switch.
Any help would be awesome!

Tip is normally closed and ring is normally open. Results one button for start/stop and other button for memory up

This is not as simple as it sounds. The FS-6 does use a stereo plug and the switches are simple but they are momentary normally closed, not the common normally open. Also the controls do not operate the way the person wants. One switch is the stop switch and sets the tempo when stopped. The start switch is the pedal itself. The other switch selects the loop and thats all. In order to operate they way they want to some switching logic would be needed. It can be done but it depends on the skill set.

Yes i forgot,it only stops with a single press and the other button to scroll up the memory.to play you have to press the pedal itself. Not really an FS6 but tested on my RC2.Havent tried with tempo yet

Thanks, I think I'll have to pass on the project if it's not just straight forward and I don't have the pedal to experiment with. Just too much hassle for the money

..The Boss FS-6 actually has multiple operating modes, but for the purpose of the RC-2 Looper Station, I only needed a mode that had momentary on (or "normally open") switches..

As tested with my RC-2 the switches are one with normally open and the other one normally closed.
