Has anyone ever tried to linear draw out a PCB from a schematic like you would doing perf? I know this probally isnt the best idea but I want to hand draw the traces and etch. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had success with this type of lay out with hand drawn pcb.

It works fine. I've done it many times.
Big Muff, Trotsky Drive, Little Angel, Valvecaster, Whisker Biscuit, Smash Drive, Green Ringer, Fuzz Face, Rangemaster, LPB1, Bazz Fuss/Buzz Box, Radioshack Fuzz, Blue Box, Fuzzrite, Tonepad Wah, EH Pulsar, NPN Tonebender, Torn's Peaker...

Works but looks like junk,
The Pen you use matters, I find that sharpies leave wavy lines, and pit.  Also there is an art to this, look up some youtube videos, some of those guys can make hand drawn boards as nice as some manufactured boards at least as nice as some iron ons.

gonns give it a try since I can layout a PCB in any other order.

thanks sands

Sharpies work fine. I've found the key is to dab it on slowly and do two coats. Soooo... the second key, then, is patience.

What i meant to say was I am gonna give it a try since I cant layout a "PCB" in any other way. I want to do my own wah, yeah it'll be similar to the crybabys and vox's around but Im gonna wind my own inductors and some other VOODOO stuff.

Please see my response to the guy who said he was "lost...lost" above. Applies here also.

I just restated because I looked back and kept saying I can when I meant I cant is all. Im not just talking about etching a board I mean manually with pen and paper actually working from a schematic and layout out a board with eagle or the others one I cant recall right now.....

thanks to everyone that rang in Im gonna try a boomerang wah clone with the sharpies and nail polish and keep scribbling away trying to layout a schematic to a PCB style route.
