Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find out the diameter of the Ernie-ball volume pedals' pots' shaft that I ordered off of ebay.  I want to replace the pot and I can't find a damn thing about it anywhere on the internet and was hoping somebody has one laying around and would be kind enough to take a look for me. Thanks guys!

I second that request. I'd like to know that too..
btw what kind of Ernie ball do you have? I noticed the VP jR have a pot similar to alpha, just longer, while other models have a different pot. You can find pics of the pots on the Ernie ball website

Well I ordered it on ebay as "just for parts".  It didn't mention which model just that it's not a jr. model.  Oh, yea, If anyone knows the shaft length or minimum shaft length that would work that would be great as well!

if it can help to identify the pot, here's a pic:

standard

junior

try to google "rv24yn", you'll get a pdf file where you can read the specs of that pot

checking the pdf, it should be a 27mm lenght, custom made (not available for sale)

Alright Guys I found what I was looking for.

The pot in the picture posted above does indeed have a 27mm shaft as Dimitree said.  As for the shaft diameter, can someone look at this picture and tell me if the shaft diameter is 6mm, 6mm to 8.1mm (I guess for different models) or possibly it means between 6mm and 6.1mm? I don't understand.

Here is the Datasheet for the series of Pot's Ernie-Ball is using.  The last page tells you what the remaining letters and numbers on the pot specify:

in my opinion you'll be fine with a 6mm, because there's a screw on the ernie ball (as you can see on the pics) that let you hold the pot in place, so even if the slot is 6,1, with the screw you will hold it in place. but don't get this as right, it's just an opinion. about the lenght, you should be ok even if it is longer than 27mm.
for example banzai sells this:

i ordered a vp junior for a control on astronomeric guidance beam tracker for my son's school.

will let you know when i get it, need to know about the pot myself. wanted to check out the pot, so i just ordered the whole pedal new from my local store, not internet. took one week. just have to go pick it up.

their  website's FAQ speaks about the use of 4 different mfgrs ( over the years), and that current pot replacements may not be the same taper as older ones. the current mfgr is toko. they are happy with the durablity. i looked at toko's website, i don't think even offer anything ohther than linear, but i could be wrong. EB may have the buying power to spec something.

will measure mine and let you know.
my life is a tribute to the the great men and women who held this country together when the world was in trouble. my debt cannot be repaid, but i will do my best.
